Beef Burger BarbecueA Teen-Age Party Food
Ingredients
- 1 packet Red Star special active dry yeast or 1 cake Red Star compressed yeast
- 14 c warm water
- 12 c condensed onion soup reserve remainder of 10 12 oz can
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 2 Tbsp shortening melted
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 unbeaten egg
- 2 to 2 14 c Pillsburys Best all-purpose flour
Directions
- Soften yeast in warm water in mixing bowl
- Strain soup
- Add sugar shortening salt egg and strained soup to softened yeast Gradually add flour to form a soft dough beating well
- For first additions of flour use mixer
- Cover
- Let rise in warm place 85 to 90F until light and doubled in size 45 to 60 minutes
