Beef Jerky
Ingredients
- 1 c sugar
- 34 c seasoned salt
- 12 c black pepper
- 5 lb beef cut in thin strips
- 4 oz liquid smoke
Directions
- Combine sugar seasoned salt and pepper place mixture in a shaker
- In a shallow pan arrange layer of meat strips
- Sprinkle with seasonings and cover with liquid smoke repeat layers to use all ingredients
- Marinate meat for 8 hours
- Place aluminum foil on oven racks
- Arrange meat strips on foil in single layer
- Set oven temperature at lowest possible setting leave oven door ajar and bake for 4 to 8 hours or until done to taste
