Beef Jerky

Ingredients

  • 1 c sugar
  • 34 c seasoned salt
  • 12 c black pepper
  • 5 lb beef cut in thin strips
  • 4 oz liquid smoke

Directions

  1. Combine sugar seasoned salt and pepper place mixture in a shaker
  2. In a shallow pan arrange layer of meat strips
  3. Sprinkle with seasonings and cover with liquid smoke repeat layers to use all ingredients
  4. Marinate meat for 8 hours
  5. Place aluminum foil on oven racks
  6. Arrange meat strips on foil in single layer
  7. Set oven temperature at lowest possible setting leave oven door ajar and bake for 4 to 8 hours or until done to taste
