Beef Stir-Fry With Mushrooms
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef top round steak
- 13 c cold water
- 14 c soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp dry red wine
- 4 tsp cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp molasses or honey
- 1 Tbsp cooking oil
- 8 oz fresh mushrooms sliced 3 c
- 5 green onions bias-sliced into 1-inch lengths 1 c
- hot cooked rice
Directions
- Partially freeze beef cut on the bias into thin bite-size strips
- For marinade in a medium mixing bowl stir together water soy sauce wine cornstarch and molasses
- Add beef stirring to coat well
- Cover and marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes or in the refrigerator for 2 hours stirring occasionally
- Drain well reserving marinade
- Set aside
