Beefy Jalapeno Cornbread

Ingredients

• 1 12 c cornmeal mix
• 1 c buttermilk
• 1 lb ground chuck
• 1 medium onion finely chopped
• 2 eggs beaten
• 1 can cream-style corn
• 6 oz shredded Cheddar cheese
• 4 or 5 jalapeno peppers finely cut

Directions

1. Combine cornmeal mix eggs buttermilk and corn Saute ground beef add onion and cook until onion is transparent then drain Pour 12 of the cornbread mix in a 9 x 13-inch pan that has been greased liberally Crumble ground beef over cornbread mix and sprinkle cheese over this Top with peppers then rest of the cornbread mix
2. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes
