BeginnerS Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 12 to 3 c flour
  • 1 pkg dry yeast
  • 1 14 c sugar
  • 34 tsp salt
  • 14 c butter
  • 34 c hot water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp oil

Directions

  1. Mix 1 cup flour yeast sugar and salt in mixer bowl
  2. Add butter and water beat at medium speed for 2 minutes
  3. Add egg and 12 cup flour beat for 1 minute
  4. Stir in enough remaining flour to make soft dough
  5. Knead on floured surface for 5 minutes
  6. Let rest covered with plastic wrap and towel for 20 minutes
  7. Shape into rolls
  8. Place on greased baking sheet
  9. Brush with oil Chill covered overnight
  10. Let rise until doubled in bulk
  11. Bake at 375 for 20 to 30 minutes
  12. Yields 12 servings
