Berry Cobbler

Ingredients
- 1 c plus 1 12 Tbsp sugar divided
- 1 12 Tbsp cornstarch
- 12 c water
- 1 1 lb pkg frozen or 4 c fresh berries
- whipped cream optional
- 1 c all-purpose flour
- 1 12 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp salt
- 14 c butter or margarine
- 12 c milk
Directions
- Heat oven to 400
- In medium saucepan stir together 1 cup sugar cornstarch and water
- Add berries
- Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened
- Pour into 11 x 7 x 2-inch baking dish or 2-quart casserole
