Best Brownies I Know

Ingredients

• 1 pkg Nestle semi-sweet chocolate morsels
• 13 c shortening
• 12 c flour
• 12 tsp baking powder
• 14 tsp salt
• 2 eggs
• 12 c sugar
• 1 c chopped nuts optional

Directions

1. Melt over hot not boiling water the chocolate morsels with shortening set aside
2. Stir together and set aside flour baking powder and salt
3. Beat until thick the eggs and sugar
4. Add flour mixture chocolate mixture and vanilla
5. Blend
6. Pour into 8-inch square greased wax paper lined pan
7. Sprinkle chopped nuts over top
8. Bake at 375 for 25 minutes
9. Yields 16 2-inch squares Allow to cool before cutting
