Best Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

• 1 c all-purpose or cake flour
• 1 c sugar
• 12 tsp baking soda
• 12 tsp salt
• 14 tsp baking powder
• 14 c plus 2 Tbsp water
• 14 c plus 2 Tbsp buttermilk
• 14 c shortening
• 1 egg
• 12 tsp vanilla
• 2 oz melted unsweetened chocolate cool

Directions

1. Heat oven to 350
2. Grease and flour square pan either 8 x 8 x 2-inch or 9 x 9 x 2-inch
3. Beat all ingredients in a large mixer bowl on low speed scraping the bowl constantly for 30 seconds Beat on high speed scraping the bowl occasionally for 3 minutes Pour into pan
4. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean
