Best Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

• 2 c all-purpose flour or cake flour
• 2 c sugar
• 1 tsp soda
• 1 tsp salt
• 12 tsp baking powder
• 34 c water
• 34 c buttermilk
• 12 c shortening
• 2 eggs 13 to 12 c
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 4 oz melted unsweetened chocolate cooled

Directions

1. Heat oven to 350
2. Grease and flour baking pans
3. You can use 13 x 9 x 2-inch or two 9-inch or three 8-inch round layer pans
4. Measure all ingredients into large mixing bowl
5. Blend for 12 minute on low speed scraping bowl constantly
6. Beat for 3 minutes on high speed scraping bowl occasionally
7. Pour evenly into pans
