Best Ever Lemon Meringue Pie
Ingredients
- 1 12 c sugar
- 12 c cornstarch
- 18 tsp salt
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 34 c water
- 12 c lemon juice
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 1 tsp grated lemon rind
- 1 9-inch baked pie shell
Directions
- Combine sugar cornstarch and salt in saucepan set aside Combine egg yolks water and lemon juice
- Stir in sugar mixture cook over medium heat stirring constantly until mixture thickens Boil 1 minute stirring constantly
- Remove from heat
- Stir in butter and lemon rind
- Put in baked shell
