BettyS Chocolate Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 12 lb oleo
  • 12 c Crisco shortening
  • 3 c sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c sifted flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 13 c Hersheys cocoa
  • 1 c milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 c chopped pecans optional

Directions

  1. Cream oleo shortening and sugar until light and fluffy
  2. Beat in eggs one at a time
  3. Sift flour baking powder and cocoa together 3 times
  4. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk and vanilla
  5. Mix well scraping sides of bowl often
  6. Pour batter in large oiled tube pan and bake at 300 for 1 hour and 30 minutes
