BettyS Chocolate Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 12 lb oleo
- 12 c Crisco shortening
- 3 c sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c sifted flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 13 c Hersheys cocoa
- 1 c milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 c chopped pecans optional
Directions
- Cream oleo shortening and sugar until light and fluffy
- Beat in eggs one at a time
- Sift flour baking powder and cocoa together 3 times
- Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk and vanilla
- Mix well scraping sides of bowl often
- Pour batter in large oiled tube pan and bake at 300 for 1 hour and 30 minutes
