BettyS Doughnuts
Ingredients
- 1 c sugar
- 2 Tbsp lard
- 2 beaten eggs
- 23 c flour
- 12 tsp salt
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 34 tsp soda
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 34 c buttermilk
Directions
- Mix sugar and lard add beaten eggs
- Sift flour salt baking powder soda and nutmeg
- Add to first mixture with buttermilk
- More flour may be added so that the dough can be handled nicely
- Turn the doughnuts as soon as they come up so they wont crack
