Ingredients

  • 2 c Crisco
  • 2 c sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp anise seed
  • 4 Tbsp baking powder
  • 7 to 9 c flour
  • 34 c water

Directions

  1. Cream Crisco and sugar
  2. Beat the eggs and add to Crisco and sugar
  3. Add anise seed baking powder and water stirring well Add flour slowly mixing real good
  4. Roll out on floured surface and cut with cookie cutters about 14-inch thick
  5. You can sprinkle with candy crystals optional
  6. Bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes
  7. Let cool for 20 to 30 minutes
