Ingredients
- 2 c flour
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 12 tsp sugar
- 12 tsp salt
- 12 tsp baking soda
- 2 12 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 12 Tbsp low-fat farmer cheese firmly packed
- 34 to 1 c buttermilk
Directions
- Sift dry ingredients into large mixing bowl
- Cut in butter and cheese until it resembles coarse cornmeal
- Make a well and pour in 34 cup buttermilk
- Mix lightly with a fork to make a stiff but workable dough adding more buttermilk if needed
