Bisquick Strawberry Shortcake

Ingredients

  • 2 pt strawberries sliced
  • 23 c sugar
  • 2 13 c Bisquick original baking mix
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 3 Tbsp margarine or butter melted
  • 12 c milk
  • 34 c whipping cream heavy

Directions

  1. Sprinkle strawberries with 23 cup sugar let stand 1 hour Heat oven to 425
  2. Mix baking mix 3 tablespoons sugar margarine and milk until soft dough forms
  3. Drop dough into 6 mounds onto ungreased cookie sheet
  4. Bake 11 to 12 minutes or until golden brown
  5. Beat whipping cream in chilled bowl until stiff
  6. Split shortcakes fill and top with strawberries
  7. Top with whipped cream
  8. Makes 6 servings
