Black Beans
Ingredients
- 1 pkg black beans
- 2 large onions chopped
- 12 medium green pepper chopped
- 1 tsp oregano
- 12 Tbsp garlic powder or 3 large garlic cloves crushed
- 4 to 5 tsp olive oil or cooking oil
- 3 medium bay leaves
- 1 tsp salt
- 14 tsp pepper
Directions
- Rinse beans with water and pick out bad beans and dirt
- Soak beans in water 2 to 3 hours or overnight
- Saute onions and green pepper in oil
- Add garlic and oregano
- Set aside while cooking beans
- Put beans and cup of water in pressure cooker
- Add salt and pepper
- Cook 1 hour at medium heat
- When beans are soft add sauteed mixture
