Blackberry Jam

Ingredients
- 4 c crushed blackberries
- 4 c sugar
Directions
- Wash berries and place in kettle with sugar
- Boil rapidly stirring constantly until mixture thickens
- Remove from heat and skim the top
- Stir and skim alternately for 5 minutes
- Pour into hot jars and use hot lids
- Hot water bath for 5 minutes
- Makes 4 to 5 half pint jars
