Blackberry Jam Cake
Ingredients
- 5 eggs
- 1 c margarine softened
- 1 c sugar
- 1 16 oz jar seedless blackberry jam
- 1 c strawberry preserves
- 3 c self-rising flour
- 2 tsp allspice
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 12 tsp cloves
- 1 c buttermilk
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350
- In a large bowl beat margarine and sugar until fluffy
- Add eggs 1 at a time beating well after each addition
- Stir in jam and preserves
- Stir together all dry ingredients
- Add alternately with buttermilk to jam mixture Bake for 40 minutes in 3 well-greased cake pans or Bundt pan Cool for 5 minutes and remove from pan
