Blackberry Jelly

Ingredients

  • almost 4 c blackberry juice
  • 5 c sugar
  • 1 box pectin
  • 1 Tbsp butter

Directions

  1. Measure out sugar and set aside
  2. Measure juice and put into dishpan
  3. Add pectin and butter
  4. Bring to boil stirring frequently
  5. Add sugar stirring frequently and bring to a rolling boil
  6. Boil for 1 minute
  7. Skim off foam if necessary
  8. Add to hot sterilized jars
  9. Wipe rims of jars after adding liquid place flats on and screw on lids tightly
  10. Invert jars for 30 minutes and then turn upright making sure jars are not touching and are not in a draft
