Blond Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 c butter 2 sticks
  • 1 lb light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 c broken pecan pieces big pieces not chopped
  • 1 c semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375
  2. Place butter in a 9 x 13-inch pan and melt in oven
  3. Put brown sugar in large mixing bowl and pour the melted butter over it
  4. Cream butter and sugar beat in eggs
  5. Mix in flour baking powder vanilla pecans and chocolate chips
  6. Pour batter into already buttered pan
  7. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until brownies just begin to pull away from sides of pan
  8. When cool cut in squares
