BobS Stuffed Cabbage
Ingredients
- 1 small cabbage about 1 12 lb
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 12 lb ground pork
- 34 c cooked rice
- 1 large egg lightly mixed
- 1 Tbsp chopped parsley
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 12 tsp thyme
- 12 tsp salt
- 12 tsp pepper
- 14 c butter or margarine
- 2 cans tomato paste
- 2 cans water
Directions
- Boil cabbage let it cool slightly and remove the 6 to 8 outside leaves discarding the centers
- Combine beef pork rice egg parsley garlic thyme salt and pepper
- Divide mixture evenly among the large outside cabbage leaves wrapping leaves tightly around mixture
- Line bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish with remaining cabbage leaves
- Cover with tomato paste and water mixture
- Cook at 350 for 35 minutes
- Makes 3 to 4 servings
