Boiled Frosting
Ingredients
- 1 c sugar
- 13 c water
- 1 Tbsp light corn syrup
- 18 tsp salt
- 2 egg whites
- 1 tsp vanilla
Directions
- Combine sugar water syrup and salt in saucepan
- Stir
- Boil slowly without stirring until mixture will spin a long thread when a little is dropped from spoon hold spoon high above saucepan 238 to 242
- In mixing bowl beat whites until stiff about 2 12 minutes
- Pour hot syrup slowly over egg whites while beating Continue beating until mixture is fluffy and will hold its shape Add vanilla
- Blend
- Spread on cake
