Braised Beef Tips Over Rice

Ingredients

• 2 Tbsp shortening
• 2 lb beef tip cut into 1-inch cubes
• 1 10 12 oz can condensed beef consomme
• 13 c red Burgundy wine
• 2 Tbsp soy sauce
• 1 clove garlic minced
• 14 tsp onion salt
• 2 Tbsp cornstarch
• 14 c water
• 4 c hot cooked rice
