Braised Chuck Beef Pot Roast

Ingredients

  • 3 to 3 12 lb fresh chuck beef pot roast
  • 2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 1 14 oz envelope dehydrated onion soup mix Lipton

Directions

  1. Sprinkle both sides of meat with garlic salt
  2. Place in 3-quart 13 x 9-inch glass baking dish
  3. Cover with plastic wrap Microwave on Simmer for 45 minutes
  4. Turn meat over re-cover and continue cooking on Simmer for 40 to 45 minutes or until fork-tender
  5. Remove meat and slice meat approximately 14-inch thick
  6. Dissolve onion soup mix in hot meat juices place sliced meat in seasoned meat juice add sliced onions on top of beef if desired
  7. Cover with plastic wrap or glass cover
  8. Microwave on Reheat for 8 to 10 minutes or until heated through
  9. Let stand covered 5 minutes before serving
  10. Serves about 8
