Bran Muffins

Ingredients

  • 1 15 oz box Bran Flakes save 1 c
  • 1 c melted canola shortening
  • 3 c sugar
  • 4 eggs beaten
  • 1 qt buttermilk
  • 5 c flour
  • 5 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 c raisins

Directions

  1. Mix Bran Flakes sugar soda salt and flour in large bowl Add beaten eggs shortening and buttermilk
  2. Mix well
  3. Fold in raisins
  4. Bake at 400 for 15 to 20 minutes
  5. Mix will keep in refrigerator in a covered bowl for up to 6 weeks before baking
