Bread Pot Cheese Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 round firm loaf bread 8 to 10-inch diameter
  • 2 c shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 6 oz softened cream cheese
  • 1 12 c sour cream
  • 1 c diced cooked ham
  • 12 c chopped green onion
  • 3 oz mild or hot green chilies drained and chopped
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • assorted raw veggies and crackers for dipping

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Slice off top of bread
  3. Reserve top Hollow out to 12-inch shell
  4. Combine Cheddar sour cream and cream cheese in bowl
  5. Add ham onion chilies and Worcestershire sauce
  6. Spoon cheese filling into bread shell replace top of bread
  7. Tightly wrap loaf in several layers of foil
  8. Set on cookie sheet
  9. Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 10 minutes
  10. Stir filling before serving
  11. Remaining bread can be made into croutons
