Break Away Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg dry yeast
  • 1 c lukewarm water
  • 1 c boiling water
  • 1 c Crisco
  • 34 c sugar
  • 1 12 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 6 c plain flour

Directions

  1. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water
  2. In large bowl pour boiling warm water over Crisco and dissolve
  3. Add sugar salt eggs yeast and flour mix well and let double in size
  4. Knead Divide dough into 2 parts
  5. Roll out 14-inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter
  6. Dip each biscuit in melted butter
  7. Stick on end in Bundt pan
  8. Let rise 2 to 3 hours
  9. Bake at 350 until golden brown about 30 minutes
  10. This makes 2 pans
  11. Do not cut just pull apart
