Breakfast Corn Bread

Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon
- 2 c yellow cornmeal
- 2 c boiling water
- 3 Tbsp butter or margarine
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 12 c milk
- 1 Tbsp sliced green onion
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425
- In a 10-inch cast-iron or heavy ovenproof skillet over medium heat fry bacon until crisp
- Drain on paper towels and crumble set aside
- Remove all but 1 tablespoon of bacon drippings from skillet
- Place skillet in oven to keep skillet hot
