Brisket Of Beef And Potatoes
Ingredients
- 3 lb first cut brisket of beef
- garlic powder
- salt and pepper
- 1 large onion finely chopped
- 1 to 2 c water
- 4 large all-purpose potatoes peeled and quartered
- 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
Directions
- Generously season meat with garlic powder and salt
- Place in open roasting pan and bake 12 hour in 500 oven
- Remove from oven Lower oven temperature to 350
- Add onions and water to cover bottom of pan
- Cover and return to oven for 12 hour
- Add potatoes to pan and pour tomato sauce and 12 can of water over meat and potatoes
- Cover and cook 2 hours
- Turn potatoes once and spoon gravy over all
- Meat should be tender
- Allow to cool before serving
