Broccoli Pasta
Ingredients
- 2 bunches broccoli
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp chopped garlic
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 lb pasta rotini penne or other kinds
- 14 tsp red pepper
- 12 c defatted chicken broth
Directions
- Cut broccoli into flowerets
- Peel and slice stems
- Cook pasta
- When pasta has about 13 minutes left to cook heat olive oil and add garlic and red pepper
- Stir one minute
- Add broccoli
- Mix well
- Add salt and 12 cup water or defatted broth
- Use less salt if using canned all chicken broth
- Cover with a tight lid
- Cook 8 minutes stirring occasionally
- Drain pasta and mix with broccoli and its liquid
- Serve at once
