Broiled Coconut Topping
Ingredients
- 14 c soft butter or margarine
- 14 c light cream or evaporated milk undiluted
- 12 c light brown sugar firmly packed
- 1 c flaked or shredded coconut
Directions
- In small bowl combine all ingredients
- Spread evenly over top of hot 8-inch or 9-inch square cake
- Run under broiler 4 inches from heat 2 to 3 minutes or until topping is bubbly and golden
- Cool cake in pan on wire rack serve slightly warm
