Ingredients

  • 12 c all-purpose flour
  • 14 c sugar
  • 3 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 34 tsp baking powder
  • 14 c milk
  • 1 Tbsp cooking oil
  • 12 tsp vanilla
  • 14 c chopped walnuts
  • 13 c sugar
  • 34 c boiling water

Directions

  1. Stir together flour 14 cup sugar 1 tablespoon cocoa powder and baking powder
  2. Add milk oil and vanilla Stir until smooth Stir in nuts Transfer batter to a 1-quart casserole Combine the 13 cup sugar and remaining cocoa powder Gradually stir in boiling water
  3. Pour evenly over batter
  4. Bake in a 350 oven about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean Serve warm
  5. Makes 4 servings
