Brownies Cockaigne

Ingredients

  • 12 c butter
  • 4 oz chocolate
  • 4 eggs at room temperature
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 c pecans

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Melt butter and chocolate in a double boiler
  3. Cool mixture
  4. Beat eggs and salt gradually add sugar and vanilla
  5. Combine cooled chocolate mixture into egg and sugar mixture
  6. Fold in all-purpose flour and nuts
  7. Bake in a 9 x 9-inch pan for 25 minutes
  8. Cut when cool
