Buckaroo Beans

Ingredients
- 1 lb pinto beans
- 3 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 green pepper diced
- 3 Tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 12 c salt pork
- 2 medium tomatoes diced
- 1 medium onion diced
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 14 tsp dry oregano
- 1 4 oz can diced green chiles
Directions
- Boil beans in 6 cups boiling water for 2 minutes
- Let stand for 1 hour
- Rinse twice
- Add 3 12 cups fresh water and cook until tender
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 12 hours uncovered
- Serves 12
