Budapest Tea Bread
Ingredients
- 12 c brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp cocoa
- 3 Tbsp cinnamon
- 14 c raisins optional
- 34 c walnuts or pecan pieces
- 1 12 sticks margarine
- 1 12 c sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs slightly beaten
- 2 12 c flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 14 oz sour cream regular or nonfat
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350
- Grease and flour a large Bundt pan and set aside
- In a small bowl combine brown sugar cocoa cinnamon raisins and nuts
- Set aside
- In large mixing bowl cream together margarine and sugar
- Add vanilla and eggs mixing to blend
- In a separate bowl sift together flour baking powder baking soda and salt
- Add dry ingredients to the large mixing bowl
- Mix well Add sour cream and mix to blend
- By hand fold in brown sugar-nut mixture
- Pour batter into prepared Bundt pan and bake at 350 for 50 to 60 minutes until done
