Budget Shrimp Creole
Ingredients
- 2 medium green peppers finely chopped
- 1 c celery finely chopped
- 1 12 c onions finely chopped
- 1 large clove garlic minced
- 14 c margarine
- 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 c water
- 2 tsp parsley
- 1 tsp salt
- 14 tsp red pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- 6 oz pkg frozen miniature shrimp
- 4 c hot cooked rice
Directions
- Saute first 4 ingredients in oleo
- Remove from heat stir in tomato sauce water and seasonings
- Simmer 10 minutes
- Stir in shrimp
- Heat to boiling
- Cover and cook 15 minutes
- Serve over hot rice
- Serves 6
