Bulgarian Stew
Ingredients
- 2 lb stew beef
- 4 sliced carrots
- 2 sliced celery stalks
- 14 head cabbage sliced
- 2 potatoes peeled and cubed
- 12 c green beans
- 1 onion cut in pieces
- salt pepper and sugar
- 24 oz tomato or V-8 juice
Directions
- Grease an oblong casserole dish large size
- Cut in the vegetables and sprinkle with salt pepper and a little sugar Season the meat and mix into the vegetables
- Pour over the juice stir and cover with foil
- Bake at 350 until done about 2 12 hours
- The meat should be very tender
- This can also be baked at 300 for a longer time
