Burnt Sugar Cake
Ingredients
- 1 c sugar
- 12 c boiling water
- 34 c cold water
- 12 c soft shortening
- 1 13 c sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 13 c sifted flour
- 2 12 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
Directions
- Grease and flour two 9-inch layer pans or 13 x 9-inch oblong pan large tube pan works well also and is my choice
