Butter-Nut Crunch

Ingredients
- 1 c sugar
- 12 tsp salt
- 12 c butter or margarine
- 14 c water
- 12 c chopped walnuts
- 1 6 oz pkg semi-sweet chocolate pieces 1 c
- 12 c chopped walnuts
Directions
- Butter a 15 x 10-inch cookie sheet and set aside
- In a medium saucepan combine sugar salt butter or margarine and water
- Cook until mixture reaches soft crack stage or 270 on a candy thermometer
- Stir in chopped walnuts
- Pour onto prepared cookie sheet
