Butter Horns

Ingredients

  • 1 c milk
  • 12 c sugar
  • 1 pkg yeast
  • 4 12 c flour
  • 12 c margarine
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • melted butter

Directions

  1. Heat milk to scalding add margarine sugar and salt
  2. Cool to lukewarm
  3. Add yeast and stir until dissolved
  4. Add eggs and then flour
  5. Mix to a smooth soft dough
  6. Knead lightly on floured surface
  7. Place dough in a greased bowl cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk
  8. Divide dough into thirds
  9. Roll each third on floured surface to the size of a 9-inch pie pan Cut each round in 12 wedges
  10. Roll each triangle starting with wide end and rolling to center
