Butter Rum Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 butter cake mix
  • 3 oz box instant vanilla pudding
  • 12 c salad oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c water
  • 1 tsp rum flavoring or the real thing
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 c sugar
  • 13 c water
  • 12 tsp rum

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients with electric mixer on medium 2 to 3 minutes
  2. Bake in a greased and floured Bundt pan in a 350 oven about 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in cake comes out clean
  3. Bring margarine sugar and water to a boil
  4. Remove from heat
  5. Stir in rum
  6. Pour this mixture over hot cake
  7. Let set at least 30 minutes without removing from pan
