Butterflied Bayou Shrimp
Ingredients
- 1 lb medium shrimp uncooked
- 14 c butter
- 14 c vegetable oil
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 14 tsp salt
- 14 tsp pepper
- 2 Tbsp barbecue sauce
- 1 bay leaf crumbled
- 1 garlic glove crushed
- 14 tsp dried basil
- 14 tsp dried rosemary
- 12 tsp paprika
- 12 tsp crushed dried red peppers
Directions
- Butterfly shrimp do not remove shell
- In a large skillet melt butter add shrimp
- Saute 3 to 4 minutes until shrimp begins to turn pink
- Add remaining ingredients simmer over low heat 3 to 4 minutes stirring occasionally
- Cover and let stand about 5 minutes
- Spoon shrimp and sauce into a large serving bowl
