Buttermilk Biscuits
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp salt
- 14 tsp baking soda
- 13 cup shortening
- 34 cup buttermilk
Directions
- Mix dry ingredients together
- Cut in shortening until mixture resembles corn meal
- Add buttermilk
- Turn onto floured surface and knead very briefly
- Pinch off and roll biscuits
- Place in greased pie plate with sides touching
- Bake at 350 until golden brown
- Do not overbake
