Buttermilk Biscuits
Ingredients
- 2 c flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp sugar
- 12 tsp cream of tartar
- 14 tsp baking soda
- 14 tsp salt
- 12 c vegetable oil
- 34 c buttermilk
Directions
- Stir together all dry ingredients add liquid ingredients and mix well just until the dough clings together
- Knead gently on a lightly floured surface 10 to 12 strokes roll or pat to 12-inch thickness
- Cut with a biscuit cutter dipping flour in between cuts place on ungreased baking sheet
- Bake in 450 oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden
- Makes 10 to 12 biscuits
