Buttermilk Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 c flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 12 tsp cream of tartar
  • 14 tsp baking soda
  • 14 tsp salt
  • 12 c vegetable oil
  • 34 c buttermilk

Directions

  1. Stir together all dry ingredients add liquid ingredients and mix well just until the dough clings together
  2. Knead gently on a lightly floured surface 10 to 12 strokes roll or pat to 12-inch thickness
  3. Cut with a biscuit cutter dipping flour in between cuts place on ungreased baking sheet
  4. Bake in 450 oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden
  5. Makes 10 to 12 biscuits
