Buttermilk Brownies

Ingredients

  • 2 c sugar
  • 2 c flour
  • 3 Tbsp cocoa
  • 1 c cold water
  • 12 c butter
  • 12 c oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 12 c buttermilk
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • nuts optional
  • 3 Tbsp cocoa
  • 13 c buttermilk
  • 12 c butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 lb powdered sugar sifted

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325
  2. Grease and flour a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan
  3. Mix together sugar and flour
  4. Boil cocoa water butter and oil mix in flour and sugar
  5. Add eggs
  6. Stir baking soda into buttermilk
  7. Add to batter along with nuts if desired
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes
  9. Frost while hot
