Buttermilk Corn Bread

Ingredients
- 1 c unbleached white flour
- 1 c corn meal
- 12 c sugar
- 12 c cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 14 c butter melted
- 1 12 c buttermilk
Directions
- Combine flour corn meal sugar cornstarch baking powder baking soda and salt in large bowl
- Beat egg in smaller bowl and whisk in butter slowly until well mixed
- Whisk in buttermilk Pour egg mixture into dry ingredients mixing until just blended Gently spoon into greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan
- Bake at 375 for 45 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center of loaf comes out clean
- Makes 1 loaf
