Buttermilk Pound Cake

Ingredients

• 1 c Crisco
• 3 c sugar
• 5 eggs
• 3 c flour
• 14 tsp salt
• 1 c buttermilk
• 12 tsp soda
• 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

1. Cream sugar and shortening add eggs one at a time beating well after each
2. Sift together flour and salt
3. Mix soda and buttermilk
4. Add alternately the milk and flour to first mixture Beat in vanilla bake at 350 for 1 hour the original recipe says 1 hour and 20 minutes but thats too long in my oven
