Buttermilk Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 cake yeast
  • 14 c water lukewarm
  • 34 c buttermilk
  • 1 c flour
  • 14 tsp soda
  • 14 tsp salt
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 4 Tbsp Crisco oil
  • 1 more c flour

Directions

  1. Sift together 1 cup flour soda salt and sugar
  2. Mix with yeast liquid
  3. Add Crisco oil mix well will be like cake mix Add the remaining 1 cup flour
  4. Mix well
  5. Flour board and knead well
  6. Roll out on floured board and use 2 to 2 12 cutter
  7. Dip into Crisco oil both sides
  8. Fold in half pinch
  9. Place close together in ungreased pan
  10. Store in refrigerator
  11. When ready to bake let rise for 1 hour
  12. Bake at 350 to 400 until brown for 15 minutes
  13. May be frozen about 1 week before baking
