Butterscotch Cheese Crunchies

Ingredients

  • 1 2 c pkg butterscotch morsels
  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • 2 c graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 c chopped walnuts
  • 2 8 oz pkg cream cheese
  • 12 c sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 14 c flour
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice

Directions

  1. Soften cream cheese
  2. Preheat oven to 350
  3. Combine over hot not boiling water the butterscotch morsels and butter
  4. Stir until morsels are melted and mixture is smooth
  5. Transfer to large bowl
  6. Stir in graham cracker crumbs and walnuts with a fork until mixture resembles fine crumbs
  7. Reserve 2 cups for topping
  8. Press remaining mixture into 15 12 x 10 12 x 1-inch ungreased baking pan
  9. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes
