Butterscotch Date Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 12 c plain flour
- 1 c sour cream
- 1 12 c firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp soda
- 12 c butter
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 c chopped dates
- 12 tsp baking powder
- 23 c chopped nuts
- 1 tsp vanilla
Directions
- Heat oven to 350
- Grease cookie sheet
- Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup level off
- Combine all ingredients except dates and nuts in a large bowl
- Blend at low speed until moistened
- Beat 1 minute on medium speed
- By hand stir in dates and nuts
- Drop by rounded teaspoonful 2 inches apart on cookie sheet
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown
- Cool 1 minute
- Remove from sheet and frost cookies
