Butterscotch Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 c firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 13 c butter
  • 13 c cream
  • few grains of salt

Directions

  1. Stir over heat until sugar is dissolved and butter is melted Increase heat to medium and bring mixture to boiling stirring occasionally
  2. Boil 5 minutes without stirring
  3. Remove from heat and beat sauce 1 minute
  4. Serve warm
  5. Makes 1 14 cups sauce Use heavy saucepan
