Cabbage Patch Stew
Ingredients
- 12 lb ground beef
- 2 medium onions chopped
- 1 small head cabbage chopped
- 2 c water
- 2 15oz cans kidney beans undrained
- 1 15 oz can tomatoes
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tsp chili powder or to taste
Directions
- Cook ground beef and onions until meat is browned
- Drain off fat return to heat and add beans and tomatoes
- Cook for fifteen minutes
- Add cabbage water salt pepper and chili powder
- Cook for an additional 15 minutes
- Serve with cornbread
- This stew is better served the next day
